This is a super simple and incredibly delicious recipe for homemade croutons – use them to garnish your favourite soups and salads, or crunch into them with some fresh vegetables and hummus!

My favourite herb combination for all-purpose croutons is equal parts fresh rosemary, thyme, and marjoram.  Equally delicious if using dried herbs – just cut the measurement in half.

  • 1 baguette, cut into ¾ inch cubes  (can use any special-ingredient or gluten-free bread, as required)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp. fresh herbs (mint, basil, marjoram, thyme, rosemary)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Toss bread cubes, oil, and spices together.  Spread evenly over a baking sheet and bake until golden and crispy, about 15 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Enjoy!
